For almost ten years of Lab401, Lab401 did not display or collect customer reviews.
There were two reasons for this. Most people imagine that some reviews are manipulated - but in reality - the entire review industry is untrustworthy.

Review services, such as TrustPilot - are morally bankrupt.
TrustPilot forces merchants to pay $300 to $1000 per month!
Free accounts have no customer support. Unverified, anonymous users can leave any reviews - merchants cannot combat fake reviews effectively unless they pay a subscription. We are vehemently opposed to these business tactics.
- Most review tools are broken or untrustworthy: The top 10 Review apps on allow for direct uploading of "reviews". We also find this behavior immoral.
Shopify - our eCommerce platform - (and the largest in the world) - allows customers to buy directly within their app "Shop App". Customers using Shop App can leave reviews.
Shopify controls the full purchase experience - from start to finish. Customers must have made a valid purchase to leave a review. Reviews on this platform cannot be manipulated.
For these reasons, we consider the reviews on the "Shop App" for Lab401 to be verifiably legitimate.
The reviews you see integrated into our site are a direct data-feed from the Shop App, and can be verified independently.
We consider this to be fair to customers, and fair to us - and are proud of our 4.8+ overall rating.
