Bus Pirate 5 SIM & Smart IC Adapter

Introduction

Rapidly connect and communicate with SIM Cards and ISO 7186-3 Smart IC Cards.

Working with SIM Cards? The BusPirate 5 has built-in support for SIM cards out of the box, via its Half-Duplex Serial UART interface (HDPLXUART).

The adapter supports mini, micro and nano SIM Cards, with each socket carefully selected to ensure stable connections and longevity.

For Smart IC Cards, a KF-011C socket on the rear of the adapter accepts most ISO 7816-3 Smart IC cards - and have built-in support in the BusPirate 5:

• SLE4442 IC Cards (incl. password protected) via 2-Wire : 2-Wire Protocol Mode
• 24C02/24C04/24C08/24C16 EEPROM cards: I2C Protocol Mode
  
• Bank cards, ID cards, other smart cards: Half-Duplex Serial UART Mode.

An onboard LED lights up when a smart-card is recognised.
