Introduction
Spectrum Analysers allow you to observe radio signals visually in real-time.
For pentesters working with RF, Remotes or IoT, this tool allows you to quickly identify a target device's frequency, so you can prepare an appropriate attack: A classic example would be to identify the frequency of a target remote control: 30MHz, 433MHz or 866MHz.
The TinySA is an affordable, pocket-sized portable powerhouse, working from 100kHz to to 960MHz. On the go, use its touchscreen - at the desk, it connects to your workstation expanded functionality.
The TinySA also has a built-in signal generator (useful for tests, or even close-range roll-jam functionality) capable of generating sine & square-wave signals from 0.1MHz - 950MHz.
As an Open Source device, there are multiple versions available. Lab401 stocks the TinySA Ultra Plus - the most recent, powerful and CE compliant version.
